Connecticut Elder Care provides an extensive array of non-medical care services to individuals with Acquired/Traumatic Brain Injury(ABI/TBI). Our goal is to ensure these individuals live comfortable, decent, fulfilling lives as any other member of the society in a supportive, independent living arrangement.
Services provided under the ABI program include Independent Living Skill Training -(ILST). Direct care staff work hand in hand with other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care tailored to each individual’s needs to provide teaching strategies, prompting and re-directive measures to foster independence as much as possible both at home and in the community.
